The Department of Labour and Workforce Development and the Nova Scotia Community College will be piloting the two-year Link Continuing Care Assistant program this fall 2008.
To qualify for enrolment, candidates must be at least 19 years or older, have a grade 10 or equivalent education, have no high school diploma, and have been out of school for at least one year.
Graduates of the program will be qualified to care for seniors and people with disabilities in private homes, long-term care facilities and hospitals.
The program will be offered at NSCC at the following campuses:
Annapolis Valley Campus in Middleton
Truro Campus
Marconi Campus in Sydney
